Cambria Boardwalk Hikes!

Cambria Boardwalk Hikes are suited for just about anyone.  Even if you are up in age, like me,  the hike is easy and smooth.  This great hike will give you a place to enjoy the smell of the ocean, see fantistic views of nature and get a little exercise. 

The pictures above give a pretty good example of the beauty you will see on any given day has you stroll or run down the path.  

If you like hiking but are not into climbing steep hills or mountains this is the hike for you.  My wife and I love to take the dogs and hike down the path towards the landing.  Make sure to bring a jacket because it is always a little cool on the boardwalk.


The Turkey Vulture in the picture above came so close I could almost touch it.  I know vultures are not the most beautiful bird in the world but they are a fantastic creature.

The Cambria Boardwalk begins at Windsor Dr and Moonstone drive and ends at the Landing. To find the trail  go past the first motel on the left where you can park and start your adventure.

You will walk directly by the parking area and bathrooms right on the beach.  Cambria Boardwalk hikes are a great way to see the surf, surfers and watch the sunset.

If you watch the horizon you might even see a whale spout.  I have seen a few but you really have to look hard.  The spouts, if you see one, will be right on the horizon.  The spout looks like a puff of smoke.  Once you see one you will never forget the sight.


This little creature watched me walk by, smiled at me and went running under the boardwalk. 

One of the best parts about this hike is the sound of the ocean, the blue skies and fresh air.

I know you will enjoy this hike and when you get to the end  you get to turn around and walk back.  The trek is about 2 miles but you will love every step of the adventure.
